HNTO also opens to the Middle East On the occasion of the opening of the Doha-Budapest connection by Qatar Airways, the Hungarian National Tourist Office also started its preparations for marketing activities in the Middle East, which is described as an emerging market in this year s marketing plan.
On 12 January, the HNTO invited suppliers interested in the Gulf region to a trade discussion in order to present the opportunities for joining campaigns in the region. Participants included representatives of the Hungarian hotel chains, upscale hotels, tour operators and Qatar Airways. The first move in the emerging markets will be the Hungarian presence (within the V4 cooperation) at the SATTE exhibition in India, from 27 January 2 February, followed by a display at the OTM exhibition from 18-22, again in India.
