Henkel to Build EUR 14.7 m Plant in Tatabanya
German household chemicals and cosmetics provider Henkel has unveiled plans to move glue production from England, Poland, and from a Hungarian plant to a brand new facility near Tatabanya (NW Hungary).
Operation in the EUR 14.7 million worth new base is to start by 2012. The plant and the adjoining logistics center will cater mostly to electronics companies in Hungary and in the CEE region. The facilities will employ an 80-strong staff of which 52 workers might be the current employees of the plant that Henkel Adhesive Technologies operates near the city of Vac. Henkel has been present in Hungary since 1989.
In 2009, Henkel Hungaria Kft realized total revenue of HUF 83.9 billion and employed up to 600 people.
