Hungary's Tisza Elektrometal on October 15 laid the cornerstone of a HUF 6 billion wind-turbine generator plant in Tiszaujvaros (NE Hungary). The investment is being supported by HUF 1.5 billion in European Union and state-development funding. The plant, to be completed by July 2011, will turn out 2,500 generators annually, giving Tisza Elektrometal an 8-9pct market share in the sector in the EU. The plant will generate an annual revenue of HUF 5-6 billion.
