- University and PhD students who are deeply interested in and devoted to the topics, and plan to work at forprofit organizations

- Junior managers, researchers graduated within five years

 

Programme of summer university:

Main topics:

- Sustainability: definitions and problems

- Companies vs. sustainability

- Global economic crisis vs. localization 

- Environmental management tools

- Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

- Beyond CSR – toward the truly responsible enterprises

- Opportunities for individual actions

Main activities:

- Lectures given by professors and experts present

- Interactive exercises, case studies

- Documentary and training films on sustainability

- Company visit

- Sustainable bicycle tour

- Informal discussions with company leaders

- TÓTH Gergely PhD, Secretary General of KÖVET, Associate Professor of Pannon University

- MATOLAY Réka, Adjunct Professor of Corvinus University of Budapest

 

Costs:

Participation fee of summer university: 25.000 HUF

Costs covered by this fee: - Accomodation in 4-5 persons cottages

                                               - Three main meals per day

                                               - All training materials

                                               - Costs of activities and travellings part of the training

Other costs covered by participant: - Travel costs to/from Keszthely

                                                               - Bicycle rental (if needed)

 

Application:

For applying to the summer university the following documents are to be sent:

1. Application form (download)

2. CV with portrait photo

3. Presentation on test-shopping: Making a test-shopping in any shop(s) searching for the most useless/superfluous or from the farthest delivered products. Creating a ppt presentation on these products with descriptions, explanations and photos.

4. Essay: Writing a one-page essay on the article: The Monster and the Titan: Science, Knowledge, and Gnosis by Theodore Roszak. (download in Hungarian) (download in English)

Language:

Representatives of KÖVET's foreign partners will attend the summer university, therefore it will be held in English. The application documents also need to be written in English.
